Alaskan Salmon

Each summer New London local - and founding food co-op board member - Dylan Erickson heads north to Alaska for the sockeye salmon fishing season. While in Alaska Dylan joins the crew of a small commercial fishing vessel in Bristol Bay to harvest some of the tastiest fish on earth. This year Dylan is bringing home some of the 2024 sockeye salmon harvest to New London and to the New London Food Co-op. We are excited to be able to make a local connection with small fishermen.

Thanks to Dylan we will be offering preorders of frozen salmon boxes caught in part by Dylan and his crew. These prices are for members only. 

Full Filet Box: 20 pounds of full sockeye salmon filets, each filet weighing about 1.5 pounds each. Estimated price $16.50/pound or $330 per box

Portioned Filet Box: 10 pounds of portioned sockeye salmon filets, each portion being individually packaged in 6oz-8oz packages, each box containing about 20-25 portions. Estimated price $17.50/pound or $175 per box.

After filling out the form, you will be provided with additional information in coming weeks including final pricing and how to pay. This is a special offer for members only - if you are not a member you can sign up at the store. Due to the nature of this order you will need to pay in advance - the deadline to order and pay is Labor Day. The salmon will be delivered via truck to the co-op for pick up at a date to be announced in Mid September
